The Gryphon
Considered the king of all creatures (lions are the kings of the lands and eagles the kings of the air) by the Greeks, the gryphon is no matter by who's account a mighty creature indeed. Respected even by dragon standards, the creature is smart, vicious and cunning. Rumored to guard treasure and riches beyond imagine the gryphon is not hard to find hiding in the Pindus mountain range in what was once Greece. The Gryphon is a remarkable ten feet in length and four feet wide with a wingspan of twelve feet. It will often times attack foes and assailants by flying high above them and dropping large boulders upon their heads while remaining well out of range of melee weapons. However it is by no means weak and powerless up close and personal. It will use it's beak to tear and snap the bones of humans with ease while slashing at opponents with serrated talons perfectly designed to slash open an opponent. Its long tail perfectly compliments it's attacks by whipping it's prey in to exhaustion. All this is augmented with its incredible agility, speed, and pure ferocity.
Killing the Gryphon
To kill the Gryphon, a party of no more than 5 and no less than 3 must be used. These adventurers must be active throughout the thread. The quest thread should be titled "Hunting the Gryphon", be made in Europe, and be at least 50 posts long.Reward
If the requirements for killing the Gryphon are met, a reward will be distributed to the participants. The otherwise unattainable "Claw of the Gryphon" will be added to the inventory of the participants, acting as a powerful one-handed dagger that will cause a gangrenous infection in any wound it creates... as long as the Claw is unwashed (at which point, it becomes just another dagger). One party member (whichever proved most valuable) will be granted the "Tail of the Gryphon"; usable as a powerful one-handed weapon that can cut through almost anything. The reason being that the Gryphon guarded so many treasures that some diamonds have become embedded within its tail, making it more than razor-sharp.
